Brighter Forecast for 2008

Happy New Year!  Like many, I’ve made a few resolutions that I will be working on this year.  My strategy for keeping them is to stay committed, not let the inevitable setbacks get in my way and celebrate the milestones I complete along the way.  As for those resolutions that I don’t quite fulfill, they give me something to shoot for next year!

We start 2008 with promising news in the real estate world.  From a December report by the National Association of Realtors, existing home sales rose slightly during November, the rate of declining prices is slowing up a bit and there’s a modest reduction in the number of homes on the market…all indications that the housing market may be stabilizing.  Things will be picking up in Traverse City with the holidays behind us and now is a great time to market your home if you’re looking to sell.  You don’t need to worry about the holiday clutter and guests, there’s less competition on the market this time of year and the buyers that are looking are more serious.  Let me know if I can help.  Here’s to a great 2008!
